Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.
PBIS is a way for schools to encourage good behavior. With PBIS, kids learn about behavior, just as they learn other subjects like math or science. The key to PBIS is prevention, NOT punishment.
Here is your chance to honor your IRIS teacher. We are looking for parents and students to nominate their teacher for some recognition. Our teachers are going above and beyond and we want to let them hear from you! Feel free to complete this form and tell us why your teacher should be the teacher of the week. We will be sharing these after the holiday and highlighting them in our school as well. Thank you to the many of you that have already nominated your teacher.
